Dr. Shah received his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis then completed his internal medicine training at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. He followed with three years of gastroenterology training at the University of Chicago where he participated in several research projects and wrote a chapter on Crohn’s disease. He is board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and hepatology. Dr. Shah treats Barrett's Esophagus with the HALO radio frequency ablation to reduce or eliminate the risk of esophageal cancer. He also performs a broad range of gastrointestinal procedures including ERCP and small bowel capsule endoscopy.
